Motion Graphic Social Media Post Sketches

Another prototype I decided to go for with this rebrand was a Motion Graphics post for social media, specifically an Instagram Story/Highlight/Reel. There has been a surge of motion graphics based posts on the social media of businesses. Therefore, choosing this to be a prototype made a lot of sense when keeping in mind the brand identity of Devon as it was trendy.

When looking for inspiration for my design, I went to Pinterest to look at different styles of designs. I made a total of six designs based on the styles I encountered. However, in the end the design that caught my attention the most was this:

Sketch Based Inspired by Photo

I really like the concept of incorporating the product into an overall illustration. So, I decided to sketch an illustration (to be animated) where the biscuit is meant to be the sun. Originally I planned to do a normal Instagram post, but using the aspect ratio of 9:16 would allow the post to be used on other platforms such as TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube Shorts.
